Arrive in Ghana and be warmly welcomed by your Tales of a Travel Bag and Black Travel Network Africa representative at Kotoka International Airport. Enjoy a private transfer to our sophisticated accommodations, with assistance provided for currency exchange upon arrival. Guests may choose to enjoy optional fabric shopping and visits to local dressmakers for custom pieces, followed by a welcome lunch or dinner featuring authentic Ghanaian cuisine. For those interested, an optional evening out in Accra offers the perfect way to kick off the adventure.
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, the day begins with a hands-on batik stamping experience, where guests create their own Ghanaian fabric design. Cultural exploration continues with visits to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and the National Museum of Ghana, followed by an immersive Old Accra walking tour through historic neighborhoods. Guests will have time to shop and bargain at the vibrant Art & Crafts Market and visit Black Star Square, the iconic symbol of Ghanaian independence. Lunch is enjoyed at a local restaurant before returning to our hotel for rest and relaxation, with an optional evening out in Accra for those who wish to continue exploring the city.
Depart for Elmina with a meaningful stop at Assin Manso, home of the Emancipation Centre and the historic Slave River. Guests will participate in a traditional Ghanaian naming ceremony—dressed in all white—before continuing to Cape Coast for lunch. The afternoon features a guided tour of Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with profound historical significance. The day concludes with check-in at our resort, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, followed by dinner and time to relax at the resort.
The day begins with a morning boat tour through one of Ghana’s largest fishing communities, offering an up-close look at daily life along the coast, followed by a guided walking tour through Elmina’s historic old town. Guests will enjoy lunch at Mabel's Table, a beloved seaside favorite, before spending the afternoon relaxing on the beach and connecting with locals. The evening features a cultural dinner and live performance at our resort.
Enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast at the resort before departing for lunch at Peduase Lodge. The journey continues into Ghana’s lush Eastern Region, where guests will enjoy a rejuvenating waterfall massage surrounded by nature. Later, travel onward to Akosombo for check-in at our resort followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Begin the day with a scenic morning boat cruise on Lake Volta, the largest man-made lake in the world by surface area, complete with a celebratory birthday toast onboard. The afternoon is reserved for relaxed poolside vibes set to Afrobeat music, followed by an elegant All-White Evening Party featuring a live saxophonist and cultural performances. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at the resort.
After breakfast and hotel check-out, guests will return to Accra and enjoy time to visit Accra Mall, offering a relaxed opportunity for shopping and last-minute purchases before continuing the journey.
